Oral Rehydration Salt (ORS) – also known as Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORT) is a type of fluid replacement used to prevent and treat dehydration, especially that due to diarrhea. It involves drinking water with modest amounts of sugar and salts, specifically sodium and potassium.
Ingredients:
Sodium Chloride———-650 mg
Potassium Chloride——-375 mg
Trisodium citrate ———725 mg
Anhydrous glucose—— 3.375 g
Direction of Use;
Dissolve contents of 1 sachet in 250 mL cool, boiled water.
Adult: 250 mL 4 times for 1st 2 hours up to 12 times daily.
Children 2-5 year: 250 mL 3 times for 1st 2 hr up to 6 times daily; Less than 2 year: 250 mL for 1st 2 hours up to three times a day.
