Hovid Folic Acid 5mg Tablet 10×10’s

Hovid Folic acid 5mg is used by doctors for replenishment of folic acid levels in people with folic acid deficiency.

Folic acid 5 mg is also given to pregnant women at 1st trimester to effectively prevent a birth defect problem caused by improper development of nerves systems in the feotus.

Women who are pregnant or might become pregnant take folic acid to prevent “neural tube defects”.

Directions:
Adults
Oral, initially 10-20 mg daily for 14 days or until haematopoietic response obtained. Daily maintenance: 2.5 mg – 10 mg.

Child
Oral (Up to 1 year: 250 mcg/kg daily, 1 to 5 years: 2.5 mg/day, 6-12 years: 5 mg/day)

Pregnant
Oral, 5 mg daily starting before pregnancy and continued through the first trimester.
